IMPA Marine Stores Guide – The 6 digit-code

The IMPA Marine Stores Guide has been used in the marine industry for more than 40 years.  Starting out as a small guide listing essential products it has now grown to include over 39,000 unique six-digit codes and is the world’s leading reference guide for maritime purchasing and supply.

More than 60,000 copies of the Marine Stores Guide have been printed and a great many of those are still in circulation and used today. The unique 6-digit code, which is used to identify a product, has remained consistent throughout production.

The new 5th edition, which was released in 2008 at the September IMPA exhibition and conference, has been updated to include more than 3,900 items and 39,000 codes. Russian name has been added to product titles and a provisions code has been included as well. The IMPA Marine Stores Guide is widely used on board ship as well as by suppliers and purchasers in office locations around the world.
