A superb speaker line-up, informative conference workshops and an excellent number of visitors to this year’s IMPA Exhibition & Conference in Kensington all helped to make the annual event a truly landmark occasion within the global maritime sector.
 This years opening ceremony saw excellent and insightful speeches given by our Keynote Speakers, respectively Professor Alan Waller, President of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, and Erik Jakobsen of MENON Business Economics.

 The Exhibition was once again a huge hit with exhibitors and visitors to the event with old and new exhibitors making a real effort with stand design this year. Various competitions, awards and of course the ever-popular cocktail party on day one made for a fantastic atmosphere around the event.

 The conference (Learning Café) sessions continued along the same format as 2007 with four one hour workshops spread over two days. Each session involved industry leading figures on the panel giving presentations on each subject and taking part in an active Q&A session which followed.

2008 was another landmark event for the International Marine Purchasing Association and 2009 is already shaping up to be another fantastic event, with ideas already being discussed for the further and continued development of both the conference program and the exhibition.
