Tamrotor Marine Compressors (TMC) awarded prestigious Samsung-Q Mark Quality Award as one of two European suppliers
Oslo, 19th March 2008: In a ceremony at Busan Westin Chosun Beach Hotel on 7th March 2008, TMC received their Samsung-Q Mark quality award. Nominated as a result of Samsung’s stringent quality audit and one of two European suppliers to be awarded the Samsung-Q Mark this year, TMC are proud to ranked as one of Samsung Heavy Industries’ highest-quality suppliers.
The Samsung-Q Mark is awarded based on Samsung’s Q Mark quality evaluation system. Candidates for the Samsung-Q Mark 2008 were selected based on their accomplishments during 2007 in design, manufacturing, installation on board, and claims during installation.
In the first round of selection, 218 vendors were picked out for evaluation. Of these 218 vendors, 18 excellent suppliers were selected. 14 were domestic Korean suppliers, 2 from Japan and 2 from Europe.

Samsung have installed TMC marine screw compressors onboard for various applications onboard a number of their newbuildings.
