New Head of Loss Prevention at BMT Marine & Offshore Surveys Ltd
08 May 2008 - BMT Group Ltd today announced the appointment of Dr Bojan Vucinic as Head of Loss Prevention at BMT Marine & Offshore Surveys Ltd.
Bojan will be responsible for developing BMT’s in-house casualty and loss prevention offering and will draw on BMT Group’s 1,200-strong skill-base in related areas such as risk, reliability and failure mode and effects analysis.
Bojan joins BMT Marine & Offshore Surveys from SpecTec, where he was Applied Technology Director. In this role he was responsible for the short-term tactical direction of technology and commercial direction of R&D, identifying and developing profitable technologies.
On his appointment, Bojan Vucinic said: “I’m excited about the multi-faceted nature of this role and am looking forward to ensuring that our services and products deliver maximum value to our clients. I particularly look forward to utilising the skills across BMT Group and building on its successes.”

BMT Marine & Offshore Surveys, formed in July 2007, incorporates the world-renowned casualty expertise of The Salvage Association and the technical consultancy skills of BMT Murray Fenton Ltd. It carries out
surveys of incidents affecting every type of vessel and provides warranty services for the cargo, offshore energy, construction, liability and hull & machinery insurance markets.
The company also now provides a broad range of design, in-service and forensic support including technical plan approval services, material and component testing and an expanded range of risk audits for new-building projects and maritime operations.
